Can I use GEHA insurance at Ivory Dental?
Whether you are a long-time member or recently started dental insurance with GEHA (Government Employees Health Association), you may have noticed some changes to their administration and policies this year, 2025. In this case, you might also wonder if your dentist has stayed in-network with GEHA.
Although there have been network changes in 2025 for GEHA patients, Ivory Dental prioritized it in 2024 to ensure we stay in-network with GEHA for our existing and prospective new patients. We find that GEHA plans offer a great balance of benefits that enables our patients to stay healthy and get the care they need.
While we are just one general dentistry practice in Winter Park, we understand that G.E.H.A. is now operating its “in-network” providers and dental benefits with its own “Connection Dental” network. As a patient, you may not see many of these changes, but what is important is that the dentists and offices you prefer stay in-network to maximize your dental benefits.
If you would like to check for our office on the GEHA provider directory, you can search us on their website under “Lina Yu DMD” at our single location: 4270 Aloma Ave. Suite 130, Winter Park, FL 32792. That same search can also be used to find additional specialists like periodontists or oral surgeons, should you need their assistance.
What else is new with GEHA?
Based on their website, it appears that you may also have a new member portal that allows you to access your benefit and claim details. As a provider office, we also have access to more detailed information. This should allow us to respond even quicker if you have questions about your specific benefits and treatment plan pricing at our office!
Their website also mentions that GEHA may now be available to US Postal Service employees. We’re glad to hear this is an additional option for some patients.
In Conclusion
We find that GEHA does a very good job of informing its patients, keeping its plans simple to understand, and offering benefits that promote good dental health. If you need help understanding your plan, GEHA has a great support team, and you should give them a call. However, if you want us to check and confirm that your insurance is good to go at our office, please give us a call!
